People go camping to reconnect with nature. Fortunately that doesn’t mean eating what you catch and cooking a dead animal on a spit over the fire. To make the trip enjoyable for everyone you will need to take a few basic things from the kitchen with you!
We have prepared a list to help you to make sure that nothing is left behind!
1. Supplies to cook with and eat on
When you decide to go camping for the weekend make sure that you know how many people you are cooking for. This will help you to decide how many plates, cups, pots, pans and utensils to pack.
To make life easier you may decide to take a manual hand blender, roasting items, a can opener and a collapsible water container.
You will also need to check if you have access to a stove, matches and cooking fuel. If not, be sure to pack them in your cairns 4wd hire vehicle.
2. Food supplies
You will also need to pack basic food supplies. Once again, the quantities will demand on the number of people that you are cooking for.
You should take plenty of dry food as it’s easy to store and less likely to good bad! Coffee, batter mix, granola and powdered milk are just a few of the things that you can take. Canned foods are also an option as are jam and durable vegetables.
3. Clean up
Make sure that you pack plenty of rubbish bags and quick- dry towels. They will make cleaning up after meals a lot easier!
These are just a few of the important kitchen supplies that you should pack. The important thing is to work out what you need and make a list of things to buy!
